Frederick Hugo August Geisheimer

        Frederick Hugo August Geisheimer was born on February 2, 1850 in Wuerttemberg.  At age 16, he left the port of Hamburg, Germany aboard the ship Germania and arrived in New York City on August 6, 1866.  Frederick Hugo settled in Newark, New Jersey and married Mary Noack.  A son, Hugo Carl Ernst Geisheimer, was born on April 08, 1877.  Another son, John Charles Pfiffner, from Mary's first marriage, was adopted.  F. Hugo died on June 8, 1927 of apoplexy after 6 years of illness.  Fairmount Cemetery is his final resting place.  John H. Brohme was the undertaker.

        Steamship Germania - The Steamship Germania left Hamburg, Germany on July 22, 1866, via Southampton, England on July 25, 1866.  On board was merchandise and 611 passengers to Kunhardt & Co.  She passed steamship Laltic bound for New York and had only light westerly winds.
